Greetings from Invitation Land! I just couldn’t resist sharing my new toy.
It’s an alphabet rolling stamp and it’s rad!
Check it out:

Seriously. My boss lady (as in the one I work with) and I became obsessed with finding this little tool after one of the stores we frequent started stamping our actors’ names onto a little tag on the bag. Cutest. Thing. Ever. And a vintage typewriter font? I die.
We started dreaming of all the things we could stamp and of course my mind went immediately to all the wedding stuff. We searched all over Los Angeles and beyond, only to finally discover this little tool here. Yes. Etsy to the rescue once again. Surprised? I’m not.
Anyhoo, a few weeks ago I decided to do our calligraphy myself (well our budget decided) and I thought maybe I could use the stamp as a bit of a shortcut and just write the name, then stamp the address. Not so sure about that anymore because while I LOVE how it looks, spinning those little letters around takes forever. I love the vintage feel though, and even the little imperfections. It’s definitely not the neatest tool (as in cleanest/most precise) but it is pretty awesome in my book.
So what do you think? Keeping in mind that our shindig is a quirky vintage/modern lovefest, do you prefer a mix of calligraphy/stamp or would you go with all calligraphy?

daisies that is…
Thank you all so much for your comments on my VERY important diamond decision. I was totally overwhelmed (in a good way) by all your thoughtful advice AND totally intrigued by one reader’s suggestion (over at WB) that we invert the yellow/white gold in the design so as to have yellow daisies. Yellow daisies sound pretty, non?
But I’m getting ahead of myself. Did I make a decision? Yes. The decision is NO Diamond. And with that question answered I quickly moved on to pondering this intrinsically intriguing inversion. I mean quick like lightening. I emailed Adzia about four minutes after reading puzzle’s comment to ask if she could invert the metals and send me a new CAD image. And because she’s awesome she did. And because you all are awesome I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this new diamond-less development.
So let’s get ready to rumble. It’s daisy decision time round two. Ding Ding!
In the left corner we have our original contender Yellow/WhiteDaisies:

In the right corner our newcomer White/YellowDaisies:

A quick side by side comparison:

So the all-important question today is: Yellow/WhiteDaisies OR White/YellowDaisies?
AND are you asking your friends/family/community for input on important wedding decisions or do you prefer to make decisions with only your partner (in crime)??

Behold my latest Target purchase! Duh. It’s a three foot tall wire Eiffel Tower. You don’t already have one? It was on drastically reduced clearance (only $11) so I couldn’t resist snapping it up, and now that it’s sitting in my backyard I’m left wondering, What in the hell am I gonna do with a three foot tall Eiffel Tower??
I could cover it with flowers or twinkle lights. I could spray paint it hot pink. I could have people hang wishes on it as is so popular on wedding blogs (minus the tower). I could fly a little welcome/bienvenue flag from its top and put it on a table with our guest book. I could use it as a very airy card box with a basket in the middle. I could return it to Target.
And yet it seems perfect for our froggy inspired soiree, non? So…
What would you do with a three foot tall Eiffel Tower??
